The Gallery Returns at its New Home
The Art Learning Center of Pinckney expands to Howell, Michigan. Being a part of Downtown Howell is an exciting new frontier for Cindy, the owner and instructor of Art Learning Center, and for Carole, the owner and instructor of Mi Craft House. These two are sharing the same floor of this beautiful green Victorian home just one block east from the Historic Howell Theater. Together these women wish to welcome art students who are longing for a space to take affordable art classes, longing to begin, return to, or master a given art medium, and to those who simply wish to create art in their lives into the studio. Cindy and Carole are now offering a wide variety of art classes for the fall with this grand opening. Sign up to book your spot now as classes fill quickly.
The Gallery is now officially open! With the new expansion came the opportunity to revive the Art Learning Center's gallery that once occupied Pinckney's downtown area. Its first show is a beautiful collection of some of Cindy's pieces as well as various other local artists work and remain in the gallery for visitors to view. Please look over the gallery hours before taking a trip to visit us. We hope to see you soon!

Peace and Belonging
The Art Learning Center offers drawing classes, watercolor art classes, acrylic paint classes, and pastel classes. Special instructors also drop in to teach music classes, felting classes, basket weaving classes, Ukrainian egg decorating classes, and one on one acting classes. This cozy space offers a fun, colorful, and peaceful environment for children art classes, teen art classes, and adult art classes. Art class for kids have become a rarity in school systems, and Cindy’s dream is now providing your child the opportunity to reignite their creativity outside of school. The Art Learning Center offers classes to patrons based on their age and/or area of focus. Typically students are working on their art projects with others at the same age level. For kids art classes, take a look at our classes page to sign up your child according to their age. We are accepting summer sign ups for art classes near you today. The time of these summer art classes vary from 1 hour to 1.5 hours and are reasonably priced.

Cindy's Passion
Owner Cindy Mitchell
For Cindy Mitchell, art has always been her passion. From creating her own beautiful work in watercolors and oils, to teaching art for over a decade at Light of the World Academy, Cindy has found a strong calling and purpose in creating and teaching art. Luckily she shares that purpose with everyone she meets, and she positively impacts the lives of children, her collaborators, as well as community members.
Cindy had a dream: to bring the arts to the small community of Pinckney, MI. She was blessed and grateful to have spent the last two years providing art classes to youth and adults alike while also providing gallery showings of local artists in Livingston and Washtenaw county.

Something for Everyone
Other Activities
Art class isn’t just for kids, but for us big kids too! Cindy has been happy to offer adult art classes in Michigan, and has seen some beautiful work created in the studio. She allows the adults to make their own choice of which skill to focus on, beginning a project and seeing it through to completion at the studio.
